About
Hello, my name is Melissa and this is my blog!
Here are ten non-random things about me:
1- I’m French and I was born in the city where Napoleon Bonaparte bade farewell to the Imperial Guard right before his exile to Elba… beautiful Fontainebleau!
2- I loved to climb trees with my sister when I was a kid.
3- I sat on a sewing needle while cross stitching when I was 13 and felt stupid.
4- I survive mostly on a mixture of Ricoré (60% chicory and 40% coffee) and skim milk.
5- I am an obsessed foodie and wine enthusiast. I love litchis, sushis, rose tea, Curacao cocktails, and Ladurée macaroons. But above all I love Bibi’s couscous and paella (Bibi is my grandma). Yummmmmy!
6- I have read “The Ice People” by Barjavel at least seven times and watched “The Bodyguard” more than I can remember.
7- I’m 24 and I’ve visited over 25 countries all over the world. About two years ago I moved to Saigon, Vietnam, with my husband, Thomas.
8- I have a disturbing weakness for Discovery Channel – especially the MythBusters episodes.
9- Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to be a volcanologist or archaeologist. After a 5-year degree in a business school, I’ve been battling to become a marketing professional. Life sucks.
10- I totally agree with St. Augustine’s quote: “The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page”.
